Peisey-Vallandry, all the mountain pleasures, by nature

AUTHENTIC VILLAGES AND EXCLUSIVE ACTIVITIES

South of the Mont-Blanc, protected by the massifs of Beaufortain to the North, and Vanoise to the South, the two Savoy villages of Landry and Peisey are composed of small traditional hamlets, made of wood and stone. In the famous Tarentaise valley, these authentic station villages are settled from 700 to 1600 metres high, in a great forest scenery. This peace and serenity setting, preferred location of families and friends looking for the true Savoy mountain, is also plentiful in activities to suit all ages and all tastes.

The great richness in terms of winter sports is of course one of the world’s largest skiing area, Paradiski, with more than 400 km of slopes, two equipped glaciers, two skiable summits more than 3000 metres high, 160 ski-lifts and 260 slopes for all levels. Peisey-Vallandry is its heart, between Les Arcs and la Plagne, welcoming the Vanoise Express cable car, joining the two parts of the skiing area. From the snowfront of its chalets, these Savoy villages offer a true infinite playing area, of more than 1000 hectares, in direct access, ski in ski out.

However, as size is not everything, the area has diversified its slopes and entertainments to please everybody. Seventeen fun areas offer sports and recreational activities for all ages, but besides the different snowparks that you can find in several places of the domain, consisting of kicks, slides and other freestyle pleasures, unique equipments can be discovered all over Paradiski. The Rodeo Luge is a genuine 3 km slope designed for sledging on the surface of the snow, with banked turns and steep slopes. The Avalanche Park informs and trains people for the alpine dangers in order to have fun safely then.

But above all, the Mille8 area gathers the most exclusive experiences of mountain: walking trails in the middle of pine trees and available cabins, a fitted area for the youngest among penguins, a covered travelator to discover sledging, Air Tubing to shoot for the stars and land up very softly, a filmed BoarderCross for the daring, and finally, a lodge and pool area with restaurant, snacks, concerts and entertainments all seasons. Reachable by ski or on foot, by day or by night, for the youngest or the elderly, it is the place to share unforgettable moments.

Last, even for the purest skiing pleasure, everything was thought to strongly increase the sensations. The Yuge App has been developed to accompany the skier’s day, from the ski-pass purchase, to the skilifts waiting time, as well as a custom program based on the desires, the weather, the conditions and the day activities, and even the performances follow-up over the skied slopes! As if more was needed, the most ardent skiers will be able to live a unique experience with the First Tracks, allowing to accompany the station workers early in the morning, and to be the first to print its own track on the freshly prepared slopes.

If the visit of the Peisey-Vallandry villages is a must, it is thanks to their traditional Savoy village charm, with their narrow alleys and baroque churches, in the quietness provided by spruces and larches. But if settling in there is a dream, it really is for the unlimited pleasures that you can live only there, with, of course, the Mont-Blanc as a spectacle, a spectator, and a playfellow.
